Amaryllis – Halston

Amaryllis

by Piet Leutsch

This is one of my favourite amaryllis paintings.  The slightly greenish hue on the bunch of white flowers are enhancing their impression of fresh youthfulness. The two ribbons hovering beneath the flowers remind of colourful little butterflies. The small lines and dots in the background in red on red, are the for Piet Leutsch typical symbols for movement and scent in the air.
